So after deciding a full restore was in need I started the process by pressing f11 and doing the total restore. Midway through the process the laptop froze. So i restarted the computer. The f11 key will start the restore process but it does not go to the restore screen, and the os will not load. What can i do? I don't have any restore disk nor a copy of windows xp.

Call HP and see if they'll ship you some restore discs. They may charge you for them.
