    Hi,

I've read most if not all the threads in here on underclocking. I've used all the suggested programs and have actually determined my
minimum voltages at both low and high frequencies.

The problem I'm having is RightMark Clock Utility doesn't remember my PST's on startup. The program doesn't launch on startup either even though I've checked that option off.

I guess I'm missing something really obvious, but I just can't figure out what. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm running RightMark Clock Utility v 1.8. I know 2.0 is out, but it looked like it didn't have the manual flexibility of 1.8.

If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

    Rob

This is how RMclock looks like on my zv6000 and I don't have problems.
If yours is the same and it still does not load at startup try placing a shortcut to Rmclock in Start/programs/startup and it will load.

Btw, these Athlons are great undervolters

That is strange. I have heard similar cases with 2.0, but not with 1.8. You have to right click on the taskbar icon and select "Run Automatically at Startup" and "Start Minimized to to Tray"( see the attached figure).

RMClock saves settings to registry before shutdown, if there is any problems before shutdown or it hangs, it can not save settings.

What you can do is, exit the RM Clock once while everything is working fine, and restart the laptop. That should save settings.

BTW, RMClock 2.0 has all the settings from 1.8 and more, it has more customizable P-States for each and every Option, like Power on Demand, Maximal, and Power saving.

You can check RMCLock 2.0 guide to see what it can offer.

    Hi,

Many thanks to vassil 98 and chinna n. I found out from the Right Mark site that this is indeed a Windows bug. The creator of Clock utility, Dmitri, said he was working on a patch so settings were remembered. This problem happens in both vers. 1.8 and 2.0.

This is an intermittent problem, doesn't happen with every system..I'm just lucky I guess. Dmitri did give me a work around which I'll share for anyone else that runs into this problem before the patch comes out.

The work around is this: After finding and making all your PST settings close out of RM Clock Utility by choosing "Exit" from the taskbar for the first time you close the program...this will save your settings. I did this and the problem was solved!

Thanks again for the help folks.
