    Help With My Hp When I Open It The Only Thing That I See Is Black Screen!!

    :confused: I need HELP WITH MY HP laptop WHEN I OPEN IT THE ONLY THING THAT I SEE IS BLACK SCREEN!!!! I don't see anything on the monitor when I open the laptop!! I tried to reboot it several times and I got the same result>> black screen!! This problem only started today!! I'm really worried!! Good thing I have another computer to ask you about this!! Before having the black screen, the laptop kept on shutting down continuously!! Every time it shuts down the computer makes a sound like a fuse that exploded. After that I checked if the battery was overheating and it was not so I continued to use the laptop.Then after a few minutes it shuts down again! this incident happened several times in an hour or two so I stopped using it for about four hours after that the laptop run for two hours. I installed several programs during those two hours!! I installed spybot S&D, Trojanhunter and Tuneup Utilities 2007!!

    2 years after I bought the laptop it already had some battery problems so I bought a new battery!! :( !!!!

    Now it seems that when I open the laptop, its hardware or whatever it is, is working however it has a black screen!!!!

    Reply as soon as possible plz


    What will I do:frown: !! I hope I don't need to reinstall a windows XP!!    ​

    (if I will use the Windows XP CD Tell me the difference between repair and reinstallation; what will happen if I will repair the computer- I will lost my files??)

    It may be a light bulb is shorting. Call HP and ask them what they can do

    OMG!!! It could be a lot of things! Maybe it is shorting, or you have a bad LCD connection! But it may also be overheating! Connect it to an external monitor! That way you can tell if it's the LCD not working, or if it's the entire computer! If it's under warranty, have HP deal with it! Otherwise, you might have to check ebay for a new LCD!!!

    I only had a 1 year warranty and I bought it 2.5 years ago
