Now I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I just have to make sure about something. I have the HP DV6326US and next to the DVD player on the right side is a slot and I pressed it and out came this piece plastic. Now is this slot for what I think it's for; the remote? I thought it was for the remote but the manual reads it's for an express card. "Supports optional ExpressCard/54 cards"![]()

Its the express card reader/slot. The remote if it was equipped is stored in that slot otherwise you just get a plastic place holder.

yes if ur not using the expresscard slot for anything else, then you can store your little remote in the slot. that's what i do, just have to press with a little more pressure to make the remote click into place.

its the compartment where the gnomes live... u know, the ones that make your computer work

Express card... what bunk! There's hardly any express cards available to use it with. I just park my remote in there. Wished they should've stayed with pcmcia.. more useful cards to choose from.
