Well the dv2214tu has a faster processor, but i've always been a fan of 15.4" notebooks. What will you be using this computer for? That usually determines which model you need to get.

The T2060 is unlikely to be faster than the TL-56 considering its based on cut down Yonah and the TX2's pretty much hung around with equivalent speed Core Duo's in many benchmarks.

Both systems should be fairly similar in terms of performance and in both cases I would suggest updating the RAM to 2GB if you want to use Vista. The dv2214 being smaller is going to be more portable and offer better battery life. The dv6502 on the other hand has the better(slightly) graphics card and bigger screen & HD. Plus you also get the fingerprint reader which is missing in the dv2214. Is there a big price difference between the two or are they similarly priced?

When it comes to raw processing power, Intel usually beats out AMD. I'm not sure how it's done, but I have never seen a Mobile AMD processor beat out Intel's Core 2 Duo. Sometimes there are a few exceptions, but I haven't seen alot. But anyway, since your going to be doing a lot of traveling with this laptop the dv2214tu will probably be the better choice. It's a smaller laptop, and won't be as annoying to carry around as the other model.

Oops, I thought the T2060 was a Memrom processor. Guess I need to catch up with the processor game...haha.

The dv6502 would have the faster overall compared to the dv2214 and pretty much equivalent to the dv2400 but if you want lighter notebook and battery life then the dv2214 or the dv2400 would be the better choice. Between the dv2214 and the dv2400, the latter seems to be ~Rs10000 cheaper with higher specs so consider that over the dv2214. But de remember that both are based on the Napa platform and not the latest Santa Rosa platform.
