hi, I have hp envy m6 1125dx. I like this baby, but it has a bad, terrible resolution. I am working on laptop a lot, because I am web designer (beginner, have not enough money yet to buy brand new one).

So I decided to upgrade screen/display on the new one with 1920x1080 glossy. I found out from support on website laptopscreen that the display I need is that http://www.laptopscreen.com/English/screen-part-number/B156HTN03.2/?hash=912486

It has the same 40 pin connector, size, but also higher resolution than my original laptop.

So I began to believe in my dream, to upgrade it. But they also said me one more thing- i need to change my original flex lcd video cable, which connects display and motherboard, because old one will not be able to show me picture in high resolution. But they don't have a deal with cables and can't provide me any information about which cable do I need, no number, no title, even can't say me the supported laptops of that high resolution screen.

I wrote maybe ten mails to sellers from ebay, which are selling the same display on selling list, but nobody can say me anything about flex cable which should work with it.

So I decided to write you guys, maybe someone upgraded already it, or has any helpful information about it.

    Please help me. Thanks

Go to HP support website for Hardware and maintenance manual (or something like that) for your exact computer model. If your laptop was ever in any configuration shipped with 900p or 1080p displays, then a suitable replacement cable is listed.

Search that part number in ebay, amazon, HP spares or your other favorite online retailer for price/availability info.
