    hey guys,

I need help in selecting compaq laptop. here are the models that might be my choice. v5000z, v2000z and v2000 . thanks man

the v5000z has 15" screen while the other two have 14" screen. Is 15" screen really big for laptop?

    Thanks in advance!

I was debating similarly. The v5000z and v2000z are basically the same except size and video memory. v5000z has 128mb dedicated video memory and 128 mb shared. v2000z has 128 mb shared (possibly 256 mb w/ driver update, I'm not sure about this). I went with v5000z bc I'm sure of its video memory capabilities.

However, HP seems to have drastically raised their prices today on the v5000z and v2000z today, which sucks, but they did introduce a Core Duo v5000.
