    Help needed with Compaq 6720s

    Hi,

    Today i got my new 22 inch LG monitor (W2242S), however it isn't functioning correctly with my Compaq 6720s. The monitors optimal resolution is 1680x1050, however this isn't shown on the screen resolutions page.

    I'm currently running Windows 7 (Build 7000) on here. I can't think of any reasons why the monitor isn't working with this laptop, do any of you have any ideas?

    EDIT: No widescreen 16:10 resolutions are showing, perhaps this is why? Anyway i can make them?

    Any help would be appreciated ASAP, need to know if I need to return the monitor (and only have a few days to decide).
