Well my laptop shut down while i was logging on, the AC Power got accidentaly got cut off, so now when it starts up and goes on the bootscreen, suddenly a blue screen appears, I think its called the BOSD, so they said i have to use the system recovery disk, but i've lost the manual, can anyone please tell me how to recover my system?

Well you need the system recovery disk/dvd. If you lost your own, you have to call HP and hopefully they'll be able to hook you up.

Just boot from those DVDs and follow the on screen instructions.

thats the thing, there is no on-screen instructions, when I put the dvd in, it doesn't start anything, maybe ill have to format my hardrive, how about I tell you what happens from when I start my computer until I get the BOSD error:
    1.Turn on the computer
    2. Asks me to choose whether I want to run it in safe mode, or to start windows normally etc.
    3. Goes on to boot screen.
    4. the BOSD appears when its progressing.

You need to set the boot order to boot from the cd-rom drive first before the hard drive, otherwise it will keep bypassing the disk and keep going to the messed up OS.
