    Hello !
I am new here and desperate for help.
I used my friend's laptop HP Pavillion zd7000 (zd7383ea) . All was working fine until i the system stalled and there was no other way to shut it down other than removing the battery pack. :-( This is my problem....The laptop starts up but the screen remains blank (bluish colour) the HP welcome page doesn't show up anymore. I have read at hp.com that i need to remove ram
I am totally inexperienced and do not want to open up the laptop as this could cause further damage.
I am so totaly worried and i know i will get into real trouble as this is not my laptop. Is there any other way of getting it started???

Please smeone help....i am desperate :(

Removing the RAM from a laptop is usually very easy. Just remove the hatch on the bottom of the laptop for the RAM by removing 2 screws, then pop out the RAM by pushing on a couple of tabs. Re-insert it in the same fashion. Very little you can do to break anything other if you pay attention to what you are doing. I cannot say whether or not this will solve your problem, but I thought it was worth saying that removing RAM is nothing to be afraid of.

Thanks. I will do this as the last resort.
The strange thing is i can hear the xp start up music faintly in the back ground. Have i pressed the wrong key? Is it just a matter of pressing a key? Maybe i clicked on someting to do with projection work or soemthing (that the image shows up somewhere else instead of the pc screen, or something???) I have no clue about this laptop.
