Good day everyone, my laptop has bios version F.21 and I am trying to update it to the latest version F.33

Now when I run the .exe it goes through all the steps fine however, once it gets to the last step (actual flash of new bios) it sits there for a few seconds, some hard-drive activity takes place but the progress bar does not move; the laptop shuts down. When I enter setup it still shows version F.21.

I have tried many times and have disabled all programs including anti virus and no luck.[ :(!]

Is there a solution to this problem? Thank you very much for your time.

After reading your post, I went to the HP site and downloaded f.33 bios. I had f .30 already installed on my computer. I installed f. 33 on my computer, zv5340 with no problems. I don't know if this information will help you.
