I ordered a DV6500 from HP and I am having a strange power plug issue. Eg. when I insert the power plug(on the right side) the receptacle wiggles and pushes into the unit. Also, if I touch the plug, I loose all external power, eg. the physical pulg will not stay in contact with the receptacle.

Is this, as I think, a defect with the unit or is there some magic I have to perform with the HP power system?

Also, is this a common issue with the HP units? This is the send DV6500 I have returned, and I I do not want a third replacement if this will be a future issue.

    Thanks

Half the time, it's actually the socket on the Mobo that's come somewhat loose, and not the power adapter itself. If that's the case, it's best to send it in for service.

    wtf? weird answer.
