Recently I have noticed that while on battery power my laptop would just shutdown. There was no warning note or anything just instant shutdown. It didn't happen all the time but got worse over a weeks period. When the shutdown would happen the only way I could turn on the computer again was with AC power cord attached. I thought it was just the battery going low and me not recognizing it but after a little trouble shooting I'm convinced it's something more. Here are the symptoms hopefully someone can help

    1. On battery power computer will shutdown unexpectedly and will not turn back on without AC power cord attached.
    2. Once on AC power the battery doesn't seem to want to charge.
    3. If AC cord is removed (even though battery shows 45%) the computer will immediately shut back down and again won't turn on unless AC cord is attached.

This morning I ordered the 12C battery for the computer thinking the battery must be going dead but heck it's only about 1 year old.

Anyone had this problem or have any ideas what it could be?
