Hi Guys,
I just recently had a imminent hard disk failure and have decided to get an ssd.
My Specs:
HP Pavilio Dv6-6051ea
640 GB SATA (5400 rpm)
Windows 7
I've been looking around on the ocz website and seen other makes like seagate, intel, wd etc.
I know that I'll be buying a 2.5", and i know all about the size and rpm stuff.
My main concern is the SATA, I'm not good with these kind of things so I'm just learning. Will SATA2 & SATA3 work with my motherboard. After reading around I think my motherboard maybe be SATA2.
I can't really check at the moment because I think this laptops about to die and I'm currently trying to backup everything.
I've researched pretty much eveything except this, so if anyone with a similar laptop or who knows a lot about this could help me.
Thanks in advance

Any SSD which is SATAIII will work fine.

SATA3 drives work just fine. I use a Corsair Force 3 in my dv6-60xx, so if you want one that you know works you can go with that.

Crucial M4 also confirmed working in a DV6t, with TRIM on Windows 7

Vertex 4 128GB Sata3 on DV6-6001TX. Window 7 64bit with Trim.

Crucial M4 and Samsung 830 are my favorites!
