    Hi folks!!

I have a HP HDX16-1005EA and the left shift and left control are broken, so I found on Ebay a new keyboard to replace, but the problem is my keboard layout is from UK and the keyboard on ebay is US, is this a problem?

I mean will all keys work normally? Because there's a difference between both, with the enter, \ and ~
Here is pics of the two layouts:

No it won't work. The shape is physically different.

Are you sure, just asking because three sellers on ebay said it'll work.

    Cheers

I'm not sure but its my best guess. Maybe you can buy it and if it doesn't fix, return it.

I’m not sure if I’m missing something here, but if your notebook is a UK model why don’t you just look for a UK keyboard. Page 3-3 of the HDX16t Maintenance & Service manual (below) provides a UK keyboard part number (496672-031). You could get it from HP or perhaps check eBay or eBay/UK and see if you if you could find a less expensive aftermarket alternative which matches the part number.
