I am looking into getting a laptop. I had allot of desktops but had never owned a laptop. Just would like to use it on the road and at home when I do not want to sit at the desktop.

I am looking into 2 models the dv9308nr and the dv9310us. Both close in price. I am just wondering if anyone on here has any of the 2 models.

Any input would be great. I have heard some bad things about hp. Reading dif things online.

So I hope that I can get some real answers on this forum rather than write ups from other places on line.

Thanks in advance for your time. Seems Like a great forum with allot of great info.

    Welcome to NBR.

The mentioned notebooks are 17" notebooks, and they are quite large. You may not like carrying them around. Its more a personal choice, but most people find large notebooks heavy and cumbersome to transport. The newer HP DV series is liked alot, because of its strong build quality and aesthetics. I would suggest to post in the "What Notebook Should I Buy" section, so that other notebooks may be suggested to yourself.

Yeah theyre sort of big but compared to many other 17" notebooks, theyre rather slim and light.

I agree the hp9000 is a excellent choice. If you buy it online try to get a coupon from the deals section of this site. That way you can save a few dollars
