I recently bought an HD Pavillion dv2000. I don't like vista so i gave it to a friend who installed XP on my PC to do the same for my laptop. After he gave it back to me, my touchpad and webcam aren't working. I installed the drivers for both off the website. On the webcam, every thing seemed to install fine, but i can't find anything on it. But if i go through my control panel, and go to scanners and cameras, it shows up as a camera plugged into a usb port. i can take pictures with through there. n the touchpad, when i try to install it, it says: "this driver package does not support one or more of your current pointing devices and will not be installed. Pleasec contact your OEM for the proper package." Any help or suggestions?

Some of HP's line have been known to be iffy with XP drivers. AFAIK, it runs Synaptics for the touchpad, so try looking for some older drivers, if you cannot find XP specific ones...sorry, that's all I can think of. I would dualboot XP if not for the same situation with the drivers.
