I need help and advice on how to or what to do, I was blowing out my Envy 14 beats T-1100 (XB109AV) and the fan slipped from my fingers and spun to fast and blew all the fan blades off,
Does anybody know of a youtube video on how to replace the fan?
Can the fan itself just be replaced (its the one on the right side) or do I need to replace the entire fan heat sink assembly?
Any tips or advice is welcome, this is my main computer so I need to fix it. Or should I have a shop fix it?
also any recommendation on where to purchase the parts.

    Thanks Marlk

I had to replace the same fan because it became unstable and started making rattling noises. I used the Envy 14 parts manual that shows how to disassemble the laptop and shows where the screws go. My advice is to be very methodical with the disassembly. Don't forget where screws go and don't lose any screws. To get to the fan you have to disassemble the whole laptop but you don't have to replace the heatsink. Here is a link to the part that you need (the fan on the right side of the laptop). No the fan is attached to the heatsink and the fan is screwed into the bottom so you have to take out the whole heatsink.

There's no need to order the whole assembly if you only need to change the one fan on the right side of the laptop. You can save like 20 dollars that way, but the choice is yours. I personally didn't have much experience with taking apart laptops and everything went fine. If you are careful then you should be able to do it with no problems, but if you don't think you can then a repair shop is the way to go.

One of the guys from another forum came by and did it for me, it went well and all is up and running again. The Heatsink assemble with both fans and everything need to do the install (Cleaning wipe and Thermal paste) was only $44. plus shipping from HP Parts.

    Thank again for the help
