I’m a CQ40-328TU & Vista SP2 user. Last August ... when I trying to install 1 (One) file, my CQ40 alert me that the software is dangerous … and after that I unable to rename or moved all folder … not file.
Once it was deleted, and moved to Recycle Bin, the folder is unable to be restore.
All actions are terminated immediately without any warning.

I’ve tried to open Task Manager & Regedit … it was OK … and found NO process which used HUGE resource. So I checked my Vista UAC ... and the UAC was informed to be OFF.

So … I’ve tried to goggling my problem and found:

Try to schedule and run a consistency check on your hard drive. Also, let Windows scan the system files to see if there are any problems. If any problems are detected, it will try to fix them immediately or at the next reboot.

You can let Windows run a system file integrity check by going to Command Prompt under administrative privileges and typing in " sfc /scannow" (without the quotes, and note the space before the slash). Let the scan run and see if it can find anything.

    1. Open Command Prompt with administrative privileges.
    2. To schedule and run a consistency check, type in "chkdsk /f" (without the quotes). If the program asks that a scan be scheduled the next time the system starts, select "y" for yes.
    3. Reboot, and let it do it's thing.
    4. Once you are back in Windows, open Command Prompt again with administrative privileges.
    5. To schedule and run a system file integrity check, type in "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes). Let the scan run and see if it can detect and fix any problems. A report will be shown once it is complete.
    6. Reboot, just to be safe.

    Dear Jutinkw1,
Tomorrow ... I began to understand with what you mean.
But everytime I select sfc scannow, right-click > run as administrator
The lappie will not respond anything.

    So I turn-off the UAC > restart > and typed sfc /scannow > Enter
The command Prompt is appeared on my screen ... but the process is quick (about 5~10 minutes only)

Why? Is there anything with Vista UAC?
How can I checked Vista accepted UAC?
Because in Vista, it stated that I'm an Administrator.
