    Hi,

I hope someone can help me. I recently purchased the bracket kit from HP to install my second hard drive into my dv9000t. Attached is the adapter they sent me and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to install it. So I am wondering if this is even the proper adapter. If it isn't, can someone post a link/picture of what it is I need to install the second sata hard drive into my laptop? If it is the right one, how do you install it?

    Thank you!

*sorry for the terrible picture, I took it with my cell phone*

So yeah, it's not a sata adapter...

I call HP to ask if they could send me the correct adapter and they tell me that they don't have the adapter, that they only sell the old adapter...

Yet the part number clearly states that it is compatible with the dv9000.

They tell me to buy the adapter elsewhere...however, I can't seem to find any place that sells that type of adapter.

I need some help here on who I should talk to to get this fixed. So if there is anyone out there who knows who I should talk to or where I can go to get the adapter I would greatly appreciate it!

I recently purchased the adapter. The company soaked me for $60 for the tiny part... However, when you really need something I guess you need it!

    Try ImpactComputers.com 1-800-797-7164

I got their name and number from hp parts, and they told me the same thing: they don't sell the drive caddy and adapter separately from their hard disks.
