    Help- hard drive issue

    how can i remove the "hp recovery D:" so i can get that 10 gigs back in the C: drive.?? :confused:

    and once i backed up the SWsetup folder, can i delete that folder? :confused:

    Once that folder is backed up, SwSetup can be safely deleted.

    But first, go to Start->Programs->Look for an option for HP Recovery Manager->Make Backup CD/DVDs. Make sure you make the backup discs, and then in that same directory in the start menu choose the option to remove the recovery partition.

    If you want to merge the recovery partition into the main C:, then you'll have to use a partition manager like Partition magic or GParted live CD. If you just want to delete the data & recover the space then follow nights instructions.
