    Hey
Up until last friday i have about 90 GB left in my hard drive and then i downlaoded and installed the demo version of game "CRYSIS" after which my space changed to about 83GB (i had he setup file saved in my downloads which was 1.5 gb) today when i uninstalled the demo using control panel and then deleted the set-up file for the game i only have 85.9 gb left for some reason.
Another problem is that my control panel wont show details of the documents in detail view, it only shows the name of the software, i have attached a file to show this problem.
If anyone could suggest anything that i could do, i'll be thankful...

Windows Vista has a backup feature called Shadow Copy. Shadow Copy by default uses 15% of the HDD size for backing up data. You can go in and change it, but I don't know how yet because I haven't messed with it. If you look at the post below, orev created it, you will see all the information you need to know about Shadow Copy:

As for the details list view issue. Make sure you have selected to display all of the other colums. Right click on the 'Name' column and make sure the other options you want are checked.

Is there a particular reason you are trying to do a system restore?? Basically when you installed/uninstalled Crysis Vista would create a restore point for some of the files/folders the installation might have affected but do remember that system restore wont create a backup of your documents/files etc. It just backs up system files and settings. It wont bring back deleted files unless it was included in the particular restore. Do you get any error messages when you do a system restore?

If you want to backup your personal files/folders then look into the backup and restore center not system restore.

P.S - Vista Home Premium does not have Volume Shadow copy service. This is only available in Business and Ultimtae versions of Vista.

I know... i just willing to restore the computer to o it gets back to normal... evr minute i'm noticig a new problem, i just resarted the machine and it took 10 minutes to start up. Read the following line..

"Tis is what happens hen i try to tpe a noral sntece"

So i have to go through every thing i type ... it was fine before i uninstalled crysis, this just stared a ewminutes a go.

Actually it does... at least the backup portion of it. You just can't access the restore abilities without Ultimate or Business. So even with the other versions, Shadow copy will eat your disc space, but you can't get anything out of it. If you really need something out of it, you can buy an upgrade to Ultimate or Business, and your data will be there. -- AFAIK

System restore is different than "previous version". System restore you can use on all versions, but it only covers "system" files. "Previous versions" gives you the same functionality with all files.
