    ok heres the situation:

i got an nc6400 from college: 1 GB Ram, 80 GB HD, x1300 video, T5500 for around with xp home ?900

returned this becuase it was making clicking noises.

Now the colege have another nc6400: 1 GB ram, 100 GB hd, T2300 for around with xp home ?20 less.

Also i have seen dv2778ea which has 2GB ram, 160 GB and T5600 for around with xp mce 2005 ?750

    Which should i go for?

Even though the nc6400 is well-built sturdy notebook, I would recommend the HP dv2778ea because it offers more features for less money.
