    Hey do you think this HP dv5t notebook has good specs? I'll be using it for school work (I'm a sophomore in high school), watching movies, internet, etc. so I'll be using it for basically everything except gaming :)

    Looks good only things you may want to consider is upgrading your processor to 2.4Ghz maybe upgrading your screen and maybe your ram, but you could do that yourself also

    Yeah I figured that the processor would be more than enough for my needs because I also want good battery life and I want the price to not exceed $1,000, and the 2 gb of ram should be enough right??? :confused:

    yeah if your not doing anything extensive on it youll be fine

    basically major multitasking........the more ram the better when it comes to multitasking and having different applications open

    oh okay because I've used my dads laptop (it's a Sony VAIO notebook with a 17" screen, Intel Core 2 Duo T7200, 2gb of ram) and it multitasked like crazy!!! I was running a AVG Free Anti-Virus scan, an Ad-Aware scan, and I had 5-6 tabs open in Internet Explorer and it ran pretty smooth

    plus ram is something you can pretty easily upgrade whenever you want afterwards anyways, so I wouldn't really worry about that part of your laptop. It's a pretty solid setup if you're not planning on gaming so don't worry about it.
