I've got a dv6000, and was wondering if there is a way to hide the little volume overlay that pops up when you change volume with the quicktouch buttons?

it's just a little annoying to wait for the window to go away each time i change the volume.

Go to your control panel.. it should be in teh quick touch settings somewhere. If not, try uninstalling quick touch (no not the quick launch buttons)

the only thing that pops up when i goto quicktouch settings is an overlay that three checkboxes for sound 1, 2, or 3.

if i uninstall it, won't the buttons not work at all?

nope.. quick launch buttons (QLB) drivers control the buttons, Quicktouch is just a GUI software that shows you what button pressed on-screen.

I dont even have quicktouch on mine

You can either disable it at startup, as shown as above.

    or uninstall it
