Hi, just got my laptop (Compaq v2000z) back from HP for repair and I noticed theres this annoying high ptich squeal / sound that comes from the notebook. The sound is more evident (louder and higher pitch) especially when i use the scroll wheel on my wireless mouse (logitech mx700), i can also still hear it when i use the touch pad. Anyone experienced this problem and got it fixed, or do i have to live with it  ?

Conceptz: sounds like your notebook is going to have to go back to HP again. It's definitely a hardware problem. Sorry.

Just to be thorough, try muting audio. I'll be surprised if that has any effect though.

Now the sound is constant, but is worst when I use the mouse. Also tried putting it on mute and its still making the sound. Going to format it again to see if its some drivers I installed.

The noise it makes sounds something like this http://download.npr.org/anon.npr-mp3/atc/atc_teenbuzz.mp3 you can only hear that sound in the mp3 file if ur ears are still good according to an article i read.

First a keyboard problem causing me to type like this "abcd3efgh8ijklm9on9o0p1q4rst7uv2wxyz" and now a high pitch frequency sound. This laptop sure is putting its final month of warranty into good use.
