Hello all experts,
First of all, let me express my appreciations for all the posters here. This board is very helpful.
I have the same problem with many of you, high pitch noise from dv 9500t. Just got mine last weekend and it really drove me crazy.. I've tried both tricks: RMClock and USB Root, but it didn't help much. Any suggestions?
Do you think it would work if I download the latest version of BIOS? Mine comes with F8. If so, can anyone tell me how to do it? This is my first laptop. I'm clueless about this thing. Thank you very much.

I saw one person post they solved by disabling Bluetooth. You might try that. This must be a per laptop problem as mine does not experience this sound.

Try adjusting the power settings in Windows Vista. On Intel systems, they usually resonate when they are throttled down. On AMD systems, when they are throttled up. So run the system in 'maximum performance' mode and see if that helps. It will make the laptop hot and loud, but it should silence the annoying noise (with any luck).
Another option is to send in the notebook for repairs and hope they fix the problem. Just keep sending it in if they don't fix the problem. Eventually, they will offer you a replacement. But it's up to you if you want to take your chances on an identical model.
