How long have you had your system and is there a lot of play on the hinges? I'm currently using an inspiron 6400 and there's about an inch of play. Which is really annoying.........

I have had mine for about 10 to 11 months now (got it in the beginning of Sept)
and there is about a quarter of an inch play, which doesn't bother me at all, I don't even notice it. But I am huge fan of the hinge and closure design of these HP's. The hinges are solid and definitely inspire confidence and the latchless design is great. The latch is one thing I hate about other notebooks.

Pavilion dv6325us has no play in the hinges. You can put it at any angle and it stays. You do have to hold the front of the notebook down when pushing the lid up. Seems great other than that.
