Has anyone tried to hook their laptop to TV? The only outputs I see are VGA and HDMI that might work. If possible direct me to some written document. thanks

Plug connect them with a HDMI cable, select input options at your TV, select sound out put device in control panel. You should be all set...

I've hooked my dv5t up to my tv and it was easy. As soon as you plug your hdmi into your laptop it will probably prompt you on what you want to do with it. Then to get sound you just have to make sure to switch the sound device like Johnny T said.

It beats the days of using shoddy convertors and other contraptions just to see some grainy 480i computing on your tv.
