I just got my HDX 16 today and whenever i boot up my computer there are horizontal black lines on the screen for half a second, then they go away... is that something to worry about?

Hmm... i installed new drivers and they made my web surfing scroll lag. I restored my system back to the origional drivers and it seems to run faster. I rebooted my computer and the black lines don't show up anymore.
gona try and reboot a few more times to make sure its gone.

Looks like a "tearing away" sort of black lines? If so, nothing to worry about.

BTW, what Nvidia driver version did it come with?

    Laptopvideo2go driver?

Some have reported issues with those and HP notebooks. Especially losing Blu-ray playback.
