Ok, i've been on the phone for 2 hours and 30 minutes already. Tech support was ok, now i'm currently with a lady who i can barely hear, takes so long to respond, and is getting irritated at ME when i'm irritated at her for her not being able to comprehend what I want. She keeps replying to me with the same thing, getting irritated that she thinks i don't understand what she is saying. The thing is, i do, its opposite. My situation is i want to return my dv5t and order a new one, except there is problem with the 400$ coupon. She sent my email a confirmation to paypal to pay for a new laptop (which i didn't want, well not to my paypal account anyway), and i thought there was going to be a confirmation i would actually have to do, so i was going to look around to change something because instead of my paypal (which of i don't have enough funds for a new laptop without the refund), i wanted to charge my dad's credit card. To my surprise, once i logged in, the order was confirmed and i can't do anything about it. That's just part of it, and she still hasn't helped me with this. Now in addition to that, i just went through telling her my dad's cc info and blah blah. She said she would charge ~1300 (that means no coupon applied). For my refund, she says she will be crediting back 400$ and then my laptop price minus the 400$ coupon. I am trying to tell her, this means that there is no 400$ coupon applied at all. Now i don't know where the **** she is (sorry i'm pissed) cause she hasn't been replying for a while now, with me saying hello to check if she's even there anymore. She didn't even tell me she was going to put me on hold or anything. Do you think she hung up on me? Right now, it means i currently have 2 orders placed which i simply can't afford. If my debit card gets charged i will have overdraft fees...

When I exchanged my tx2500z, they were able to send me a new one with a $200 credit since the $200 coupon was used up at the time (I used the coupon for the original order). I received the credit after the notebook came. They also gave me an extra battery because I got charged $12 extra in tax because it was $899 instead of $699. They also gave me a $50 credit because a little bit of the paint was scratched off on the speakers. HP's support has been better than Dell's =( sorry your having a tough time. Good luck.

ask to speak with a supervisor..
a lots of time the CSR can not make a decision for some cases, then he/she will have to go back and forth between 2-3 phones..
and actually a supervisor can most likely satisfy ur request.
like infamous said, call them during daytime, u mostly r able to get a US CSR. -
