As the title says my HP Pavilion tx2500 tablet laptop is running very hot. I’m not super tech savy but I know enough to know that is bad. There is a lot of fan noise, which I suppose is good it shows she is trying to stay cool. I am constantly trying to keep the fan open to the air, even more then just leaving it on a flat surface I actually try and angle my laptop so the fan part is hanging in open air. According to CPUID Monitoring software after about an hour and a half of use THRIM was up around 92 degrees centigrade, Core #0 was up at around 98 and core #1 was the same. I moved out side for about ten minutes and she dropped down to 78 degrees across the board with a minimum of 58 and a maximum of 94 degrees. I bought her about six months ago from someone who had owned her since new for about five months. I love my laptop and desperately would like to do right by her so if anyone could offer me some advise I would appreciate it.

    Thank you

Well, there isnt a whole lot that can be done other than:
    1) Create another power profile and set the cpu and gpu to run essentially in power saver mode which will cut down on performance but will also massively reduce the heat output. Alternatively you can just run the GPU in power saver mode if cpu power is of more importance.

    2) Try raising the back of the laptop a couple of inches from the table/ground for improved ventilation.

    3) Undervolting the cpu should help decrease the max temperatures by a bit. Pumastatectrl or Turion Power Control should be capable of undervolting the Turion or Athlon in the tx2500. Check out our syster site tablectpcreview.com for more info. There is a thread on the TurionPowerControl right here at NBR.

Unfortunately, the tx2500 does run warm, the max temps for the cpu is 105C before shutting down and the tx2500 will come close to that especially if you have one of the faster cpu's and stressing it.
