    to make the recovery disks on a dv9700t CTO? Why, after you make the first disk does it number the next three 1 - 3? What is the first disk?

    It takes a few hours. You will need all the discs to restore your computer.

    it took me about 2 hours to create the files and then burn the disks. So it takes quite a while. Your just lucky that your not in Canada because basically all notebooks here are bilingual and it actually has to make a recovery partition based on the language you select, which takes about an hour.

    I ordered the restore disks from HP last night. For some reason it kept getting a verification error during the creation of disk #1. I was even using HP DVD+R's. I paid roughly $16.00 for the HP recovery disks.
