I have two New release HP's that have BIOS that are earlier than the initial release versions.
Due to them being different, I would like to back them up before I flash, just in case they are better than the newer versions in some way.
How do I backup an Insyde BIOS from a HP laptop?

not sure about dv6z-7k but my dv6t-6k can roll back to any version of bios with a simple reinstall.

back up the HP_TOOLS partition(Should be a folder name Hewlett-Packard,which SHOULD be able to use as a restore on any FAT partition). other than that not sure ~~

There's a BIOS rollback feature on the dv6t-7000 series' System Information during startup, IIRC. You can use it to back up and restore BIOS, I think.

I still haven't been able to dump this BIOS trying those methods above.
The BIOS on this ENVY 4 is different to everyone else. I am go to put it up for everyone here, someone else here want to have a look inside.
    Anyone got any other ideas?
