So I'm thinking about getting a Mini 1000, and while doing my research I discovered HP's student discount. So I went to sign up for it and it turns out I already have an account with HP. I don't really remember making it, and I don't know if I signed up for the discount. My question is how do I know if I'm even signed up? I don't see anything to indicate a discount (there should be a green tag or something, right?), or is there a different site specifically for students (I'm in the home and home office section now)?

Also, if it turns out I didn't sign up, is there any way I can add it to my account? I don't see anything about it in the "My account" section.

    Thanks for the help.

You'll see a "green tag" next to the prices in the store, also scrolling up to the top will show a graphic on the upper left stating that your in the "academic purchase program?. I had some trouble grasping this myself when I was laptop hunting at HP as their site is so vast that one wrong click could land you on the wrong page!

Try logging in here with your HP home/home office store account: https://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/register_app.do

If you successfully log in then your good to go, if not just create an account from that window.

    good luck,

    Ricky :)

Well I created another account through that link using another email (I had assumed you needed an edu address, but I guess not), and its working! Its only a $23 discount, but its better than nothing.

    Thanks alot.
