Any testing program can be run to tell me that?

You have to find out if your processor is 64 bit capable (guide in sig), and if there are 64 bit drivers.
-
-
sig = signature
-
It suppose to be for your signature but many people use it to post their laptop specs on this forum like me, Tereforce and Lithus

I see. I have core 2 due cpu, should support 64 bit. But I have only 2gb memory.
One more question, is computer running 64 bit really much faster than 32 bit? Most applications do not support 64 bit computer nowadays?
No 64 bit Windows XP? -
There is a 64 BIT edition of windows XP.
-
64-bit is only mostly useful if you have 4gb ram as 32bit can only utilize up to 3gb ram
-
If you have a core 2 duo, then YES. Your hardware will support Vista x64. If you don't have disks, you can go to microsoft's website and order x64 disks. Despite what version of Vista you have, you can order a x64 version.
