I'm using an HP dv9233cl laptop, VISTA installed, and I don't have the faintest notion how to use the web cam. Is there a place on the control panel that I can go to?

Thank you. I have Debut and Broadcam downloaded and I've actually recorded a bit. Now I'm trying to FIND that video! Once I stop the recording, how do I locate it? Well, I attempted to e-mail it to myself and it did not come to my inbox. Well (again) I snooped around and did find them. But when I attempted to play them on my Windows Media Player I got an incredible psychodelic image and the audio but no recorded image.

It sounds like you recorded with some kind of compression for which you don't have a video codec. Typically Windows Media Player will play the audio for you still if it can decode it. But that is just my hypothesis and I don't know the exact situation, nor do I have any clue what codec you would need for Vista...

Just google Codecs, and download one of the Codec packages!!!
