    How do i turn off the beep on Quickplay?

    Does anyone know how I can turn the beep off on my HP QuickPlay buttons? I have heard that it can be done. thanks.

    Check your BIOS, there should be an option to disable the beeps in there.

    but what if you dual booted xp and vista? do you pres Esc after you choose xp from the boot manager?

    Are you asking about the access to the BIOS menu?? If so that doesnt change if you are dual or single booting. For the V3000z, just press F10 when you see the Compaq splash screen right after you press the power button to turn on the notebook.

    if u got the new bios for the dvx000t models then you will find that whether you enable or disable, the sound stays. it's one useless BIOS thats for sure!
