    How do you change the backlighting on the LCD?

    My friend's new laptop, dv7-1023cl has a very white backlighting. When I decrease the backlight, it just looks really dark. Is there a way to make it kinda normal like on a desktop LCD? It's really bright because it's really whitish, not like the normal colors you would see on a regular desktop.

    Try calibrating the display, and create a colour profile that you are comfortable with.. You could use Monitor calibration Wizard, or the Adobe utility, or something else to do this.. .
