Has anyone connected a laptop to a receiver to get surround sound? My DV9207us has two headphone outputs and one is SPDIF enabled. In Vista, there is an option to enable SPDIF. I don't see any thing like that in XP. Help. Thank you.

The SPDIF has to be an optical outlet in order for it to work. If that's the case then most stores carry optical fiber cables / aka toslink, for audio signals. Usually about 20 bucks or so.
