    how do you know if you can upgrade to vista 7 from hp? I bought a laptop 8 months ago.was I suppose to get an email I can upgrade to 7?

    Your computer should have included a sheet of paper explaining the upgrade process. As long as your HP was sold after June 26, 2009 and before Jan 31, 2010 and is included in the supported models list. you should qualify for the upgrade. See the web-page below for more information...
