    Hi,

just a quick question to those with experience.. How do you like your HP dv1000? Also, how's the physical construction handling the beatings?

I think HPs offer good value, but they are not ThinkPads.

Well, Thinkpads cost a lot more, so HP's have excellent quality for the price you pay. I don't own a DV1000, I wanted one badly, but I got a DV4000 in the end because there was a great deal on it.

I've tried out countless DV1000's at computer stores. I have to say it is one of the sexiest notebooks I've seen, very sleek, stylish and professional. But it looks a bit flimsy to be overall and I'd be afraid of dropping it.

I have had mine for about 3 weeks now and think it's a great notebook for the price. I actually wrote a review that should be up in a few days.
