i am coming from a dell inspiron 6000 and I see a lot of people talkign about this dv6000t.. Even though i wanted a 14 inch i just think that with everyone talking about this laptop and it's the top rated laptop, it convince me to settle with the 15 inch.. I build one and what do u guys think.. I am not a gamer.. just doing reg i net and a lot of browsing and researching.. But def keep in mind i am still in college and would use my laptop a lot..

That doesn't strike me as particularly impressive. I think you can do better.

Well.. first i really appreciate your comment.. Seriously, but my job here is to get a descent laptop not really to impress or compare to any other laptop that people build here that run 12-1400 dollars.. I understand this is under 800 but i just want to hear people 2 cent like maybe u should do this or go with this or better with this and that. anways thanks for ur comment again...

I would strongly advise you to upgrade Vista to Home Premium. The basic edition is crap.

I meant in the sense of bang-for-your-buck. Specs vs dollars. I don't have anything particular in mind, and that doesn't seem like a bad deal by any means, but it doesn't seem super great either. Umm... maybe this? It's an inferior processor, but better graphics chip and bigger hard drive, and the real version of Vista Home.

About the vista issue.. I have a ultimate disc here that i might be using.. and a xp home maybe dual booting.. just incase..

as far as the hard drive.. i have a 160 gb external hard drive.. so 80 was enough for me.. Thanks guys for all your inputs.. I will try to make my decision by the end of this month.
