    I placed an order on the phone and applied an academic discount late yesterday. The expected build date is July 20.

    I had ordered the L2000 and then cancelled due to its price, style, and processing time.

    It depends on the avilability of parts, but generally from my exprience they tend to arrive sooner than the expected ship date.

    I ordered my L2000 early last week.... and have a build date of July 19.

    But receive email today that it shipped. So they're a week early.

    I believe they intentionally tell longer build date just in case unforseen delays.

    I'm an international buyer whoz already ordered an hp l2000 just yesterday. It is shippin in the US. I'd like to know whether there will be any discounts i can avail of ..and how i get them..tnx..

    As of this Sunday, July 17, I'm still keep on waiting, sigh... Nothing shows up on the progress status. Unlike HP, Dell showed the progressing steps when I ordered my previous lappies, and I prefer that.
