I have placed my 6910p into warranty for a malfunctioning audio out jack - right channel missing. The audio out on the docking station also misfunctioned. Oddly enough the speakers had both channels. It's been like that since the beginning.
It's been a week since it's been at the service center. Small country, the capital, so apparently they service the laptops here. Since of today (a week now...) a new motherboard has been ordered from god knows where (I guess Germany).
How long should this take? When would it be reasonable to demand a replacement? Does HP have any kind of policy on this topic? I fear that I may be without a laptop for a month or more.
Thanks for any ideas and experiences.

Business notebook warranty has a standard 3 working days turnaround, unless you have a separate support contract. However, when parts have to be ordered, it may take longer, but usually no more than 5 working days (from where I am, parts can take up to 10 working days to be shipped from China). If it's longer than that and they didn't provide updates, you should complain.

should take 2-3 weeks -
can really only complain if its past 3 weeks. I know they held one of my notebooks for a month b4 giving me a replacement.
How fast should HP warranty be? When could I request a replacement?
