    Hey, this is my first post here at NotebookReview! Unfortunately, there is no review for the Compaq V6000T, which my dad has ordered for me. I read a review for a budget priced V6000Z, and found it was good. Here are the "specs":

    * Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium
    * Intel(R) Celeron(R) M 430 (1.73 GHz/1MB L2 Cache)
    * 15.4" WXGA Widescreen (1280x800)
    * Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 950 - Celeron
    * Standard Finish
    * 1GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
    * FREE Upgrade from 60GB 5400 RPM to 80GB 5400 RPM
    * DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
    * Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
    l * 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

    Now, the system was to cost about 850 dollars, but there was a 200 dollar instant rebate, so that is good. Basically, I will use this computer for internet browsing, middle/high school work, and so on. No intense gaming or burning cds, etc. So, how should it be for me?

    With what you're planning to do it'll be just fine.

    Why don't you like Compaq though?

    Welcome to the forums, that sounds like the perfect notebook for you, however I would highly recommend getting the Intel (t) version over the AMD (z) series as they seem to be much better.

    BusinessBro I think that's still over the price they paid though (650 if I'm reading correct). Although I agree that it'd be great to get the specs you listed for long term use. Still, I imagine the celeron will be okay for basic web browsing and document work like he's describing.
