    How hot is your 100gb HD for HP/Compaq?

    I have the V3000t and it seems like my HD is running pretty warm at 55C after about 1/2 hour after boot up. It goes from 25C to 55C in 30mins and stays at that range after DLs and movie watching. Just want to see/hear your opinions or what you guys may be getting for your temperatures.

    Mine is usually about 32C.

    I have a dv2000, btw.

    My 120GB gets into the high 40s quite a lot. (In a DV2000)

    Hovers around 45C, but with my notebook cooler plugged in it drops by about 7-8C (really)

    Yeah, mine gets that hot pretty routinely (dv9000t). I wouldn't say that it's usually parked there, but it's not unusual for it to hit the mid 50s.

    defrag with diskeeper. it helps a ton. mines is always 40-44 when playing games.

    I'm getting high 40s usually. I contacted Hitachi and they said they are made to work within 5-55C.
