Are you sure thats the dv7-1135 because the dv7-1135nr i have seen at bestbuy is turion based and has much lesser specs. What are the 2 letters at the end of the model number.

That look like a pretty nice computer.
See if you can upgradee to the Intel 5300 instead of the 5100, less issues and problems. -
Its a pretty good computer. It has a large screen.
However, not trying to steer you away from hp or anything, but the Sony VAIO has true 1080 HD on their large notebook -
Thanx for ur replies guys.I have finally decided to buy it.
Only thing which confuses me is its big Screen ?
Is it fair enough or will it look odd ?
otherwise all my research I have founf this 1 to be the best at such a low price. -
I have the dv7-1135nr and love it for the price. my only problem is that my 3 yr old slammed the display down and made for some gorgeous black lines appear as the lcd is now broken. it has now become a great docking station for my desktop lcd monitor. does anyone know of a good place to order replacement lcd screens for the dv7-1135nr? or am i posting in the wrong forum?
thanks in advance,

I bought it few days ago...
Struggling with:
1) Serious Wireless Issue... Drops signal time to time, tried everything on google no way. still waiting for hp support in these holidays they are not working.
2) Cannot install XP on it! after 3 days waste of time xp dual boot installed but struggling with Audio and many other drivers for XP. unfortunately I should get back to Vista which is very slow, specially for internet. Hangs many time in these days... very disappointing.
3) Seems somthing is wrong with GeForce 9600GT, the FPS is good, but the render has some strange issues. I didnt figure it out yet what is exactly wrong. But in game demos for Tomb raider you'll see black annoying shades on some corners of objects. -
Hi HosseinT, in order to get xp to install on the dv7-1135nr I had to slipstream the x86 sata drivers into my copy of the windows install with "nlite". You might find the following link helpful.
