    How long does HP typically take to ship?

    How long does HP typically take to ship a dv5000t customized? I purchased from Dell a few years back and they shipped in two days. I ordered 3 business days ago. I'm not asking about time in transit but when they give it to FedEx or UPS or whomever!

    I would say that HP is relatively the same in regards to ship time. I couldn't image it being much more than 3 days.

    My dv2000t CTO took 10 days just for build. It was ordered on the 21st and it didn't ship till the 31st.

    Once your laptop ships (it comes from China) it should take about 3-4 days.

    Mine shipped exactly on the estimated day: 7 days after the order was put in.

    FedEx says I should receive it on Friday - which would put it at 11 days after I ordered it.

    well it does come from china. and i think my cpu missed the plane tonight :( might have to wait until monday to get it unless things are really rushed. my cpu was ordered on the 22nd

    From what I hear, you still have hope to see it by the end of the week, jkb246 :)

    And that would have been this morning, not tonight, Shanghai is 12 hours ahead of me (EDT), so I check to see if it shipped in the AM when I get up, and I don't check again until the following morning... :p

    I hope so. I was ready to pick the computer up thursday lol. Oh well. I hope this HP is worth it because Dell computers seem so cheap in price. And yes I know they blow up but ...

    i hope it takes two days for me... i got a confirmation email from costco at tuesday morning... and i will be leaving for vegas friday.. but i will need to load some software and break in my laptop before i go... if my laptop comes when i am not here... will they juss leave it at my door while i am out of town??? i live in a not so descent community and im kindy iffy about leaving town w/o my laptop...should i have anything to worry about if i dont get my laptop by friday?

    They won't leave it because it requires a signature. I would just call fedex the day before you leave (if it's not there) and ask them to wait to deliver it on whatever day you'll be back.
