How long does delivery/shipping take for customized laptops from HP.com?

I just want to know, not because I'm anxious for it, but I am planning to buy memory but I don't know when to buy it... I like to hold out and hope some sales pop out for them. I configured for 512 MB so I can buy cheaper 2 gigs from zipzoomfly.com (2 gigs of corsair valueselect for $154 shipping included). That takes around 7 days to ship. My HP Laptop will be shipped tommorrow (the 20th). When will it arrive here? 1 week? 2 weeks? I just don't want my laptop to arrive with only 512 MB RAM available.. so I'm kinda planning in a way. Thanks guys. As always, you're the best.

 

If your notebook ships tomorrow, you can expect it by Friday or Monday, at the latest.

In my case, I ordered my HP notebook on a Monday. It shipped that Friday, and I had it the next Monday.

stealthstud, can i ask who you purchased through and what kind of system? because hp does not let you continue to purchase just one 512 if you have vista on the system as well

 

I jsut did normal, dv6000t through hp.com home and office. I had vista basic however. if you chose premium thats probably why because of aero.

also, on the topic.. no good. was supposed to ship on tuesday. its thursday and its still in production. lame.

 

From the time you order till it arrives at your doorstep it should take 10-14 days
